The main purpose of the Promotional Challenge Grant Fund is to provide a positive image of our commercial districts in hopes of restoring in both area businesses and the community. The grant is available only to recognized merchants associations within the BEACON target districts.

The merchants association will create a strategy with which the monies will be used to further encourage the positive image of the community. Each of the nine BEACON districts is eligible for up to $5,000 annually in matching grant funds to support promotional activities. Proof must be provided that the funding being requested can be matched by the merchants association. Organizations do not need to submit planning for the entire year when applying for the grant, however, the $5,000 must be used in the calendar year for which it has been funded.
