Local Business Owner Saves Condemned Building; Opens New Business in Ensley
Birmingham, AL – Local business owner, John Bimbo, renovates fire damaged building in Ensley to relocate his business from his home.
Apollo Plumbing & Heating, Inc. worked with Main Street Birmingham, Inc. and the City of Birmingham to complete the renovation project.
Apollo Plumbing & Heating, Inc.’s ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 2221 Avenue E Ensley at 11 am.
Representatives from the City of Birmingham, local merchants and friends and family will be in attendance to celebrate the accomplishment.
Main Street Birmingham, Inc. is a nonprofit under contract with the City of Birmingham to implement the BEACON program for neighborhood commercial district revitalization. The program targets nine urban commercial districts to strengthen economic development by utilizing the National Main Street Center’s Four Point Approach™ of design, organization, economic restructuring and promotion.
