Revitalizing Neighborhoods
Local businesses need strong neighborhoods to support them. We seek partners within communities to create united fronts for revitalization. Neighborhood associations, housing developers, social service agencies and corporate partners bring passion, expertise and funding to the table.
Current Projects Include:
- The revitalization of Ensley's landmark Ramsay McCormack building into a future low-income housing community
- The creation of a corridor of affordable studio and living space for artists in the Avondale and Woodlawn communities known as the East End Arts District
- The creation of the Nixon Cultural Center at Tuxedo Junction
Main Street Birmingham believes catalytic developments demonstrate an area's potential and attract future investment. In addition to its own past and future redevelopment projects, MSB performs focus groups and market surveys to find opportunities for others to spark progress.
We are a resource for information of properties in our target districts, development opportunities and market information.
